In case you want to transfer a domain from one domain registrar to another, you will need a unique domain name authorization code, which may be called by different names – an EPP authorization code, an Auth code, a domain password, etc. All these names designate one and the same thing – a code that the domain name registrant receives from the present domain registrar and provides to the new one upon ordering. Without an authentic code, a domain transfer process cannot be started and this is one of the security measures against unapproved transfers used with all generic and with most country-code extensions. For better safety, the code contains digits and/or special characters and is case-sensitive, so in case you would like to transfer one of your domains, you have to present the new registrar with the correct code.

EPP Transfer Protection in Website Hosting

You can obtain the EPP transfer authorization code for any domain that you’ve registered with our company with just a few clicks of the mouse from the exact same Hepsia Control Panel that you will use to manage your website hosting account. Once you visit the Registered Domains section, you will find all your domain names conveniently shown in alphabetical order. If some extension supports transfers between domain name registrars with an EPP code, you will see an EPP button on the right side of the respective domain name. If you click on that button, the code will be emailed to the email address associated with the Registrant contact for the domain name in question. If you want, you can modify the contact information, including the email address, without the need to leave this Control Panel section, in case the currently entered email is no longer valid.
